BECOME A WALKING LEADER - OR JOIN THE CROWD!

Walking is a great social activity and walking with friends or a walking group is a great way to stay motivated. So call up a friend and get outside!

Need help finding a walking group? Want to start one of your own? This site has everything you'll need to get started. All you need to do it register and you're off! You will have the option to join walking groups that are accepting new members. In addition, visit our Health Directory for a listing of walking groups and supports across the province. Check out the information below to get some ideas on starting your own walking group.

Walking Pledge - Print off this walking pledge and fill out your commitment to walking. Post it on your fridge as a reminder and a way to keep you motivated. You can even share it with your walking group members.

  1. Walkabout rack cards - contact us to receive rack cards to promote your group
  2. Walkabout Poster - Print off this Heart&Stroke Walkabout poster and use it to help promote your walking group! Fill in your group's details and contact info, make additional copies, and place it in places that are "poster friendly".
