HeartLand Tour teams up with Heart&Stroke Walkabout
Even if you can't cycle around the province, you can walk more around the neighourhood - or to work, to a friend's place, or just about anywhere you can imagine. The HeartLand Tour created a group on the Walkabout wesbite to track their efforts through this tour just like walker do on the site. The team is encouraging Nova Scotians to join us on this journey.
To become a part of the HeartLand Tour group, make sure you've registered and created a profile at the Heart&Stroke Walkabout website. Then simply join the "HeartLand Tour Team" listed in Walkabout's Group directory. Log your steps every day, and they will be counted towards the team's progress around the province! Let's see if walkers can help the cyclists make it more than once around the province this summer! That would be over 3 million steps combined!
The HeartLand Tour will take place July 11th through July 19th, with events planned for Yarmouth, Wolfville/Kentville, Bridgewater, Truro, Sydney, Antigonish, PIctou/NewGlasgow, and Halifax.
