Health Promotion Coordinator (Evaluation Lead)

Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia

 

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia is accepting applications for a Health Promotion Coordinator (Evaluation Lead). This is a full time, one year maternity leave position.

Reporting to the Director of Health Promotion, the successful candidate will: coordinate the development and implementation of evaluation strategies for the Health Promotion Department, conduct research on relevant health promotion topics, and develop/support the development of Health Promotion programs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum Undergraduate degree in Health Promotion or appropriate alternative
  • Minimum two years experience in evaluation
  • Proficient evaluation skills and knowledge
  • Strong understanding of population health and effective health promotion
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team
  • Knowledge of Nova Scotia health promotion activities
  • Strong research skills
  • Experience and understanding of health promotion program planning
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
